Gathering  of MacGeezers 2012

Early May, 2012 and coming to Albuquerque, NM to visit were Karen Houlton (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada); Gail Kallen (Newtown, PA); Carmen McGillberry
(Philadelphia, PA); Linda Arfsten (Colorado Springs, CO), Jen Oberholtzer (Aurora, IL); Elaine Walch (Raymond, IL) and me...RIleah Ringo. (aka Momma Angel).
A special friend, Molly and her husband (seen in previous years parties. lol) are always kind and loan out a huge double-wide mobile home for our use. Featuring 3 bedrooms, a den, bar, fireplace and 2 baths. Perfect for everyone and just down the road from Momma Angels's house.
We called it the "Molly Motel."
Every morning I(Momma Angel) would get a call...."the coffee is ready!" The gals got hooked on  New Mexican Pinon Coffees/ The Spiced Chocolate was their favorite. I beleive some of them are still ordering directly from the store now. (Links below....it is WORTH it!!)

Round table pics of our lunch up in Madrid, NM at the Wild Horse Saloon.
They filmed parts of "Wild Hogs" in Madrid.  (Riley and Gail)

Riley prepares the Tacos for our Fiesta Party!
Carmen, always smiling!
A welcome rest break with Gail and Elaine.
At the Chapel of Loretto (in Santa Fe), in front of the amazing Spiral Staircase. Once featured on "Unsolved Mysteries," this 33 step staircase has no center support.

The Chapel is amazing.

Elaine spends a few minutes catching up with family & friends
Riley sits amid the hundreds of toys and games gathered to deliver to the Isleta Pueblo Indian reservation. Each MacGeezer contributed because our coffers were empty!!!!
The Isleta Indian pPolice officers are always welcoming and take turns picking out toys for their own vehicles.

A huge bronze horse sculpture adorns a small park that guides you into Old Town Albuquerque.
Taking a break after visiting the Candy Lady! A police officer actually stopped
to help us and took our picture.

Outside a small shop in Santa Fe, Karen and her trusty camera (all shots are hers!!) found these skulls of interest.
Off we trod to deliver our bootie!
A  Kiva Fireplace was the central part of any Indian home.
We gather at the Isleta Pueblo Police Station just after delivering games and toys for our Huggy Bear Project.
Chili Ristras. Chili pods are strung and dried and hang outdoors. Usually you will find these hanging by front doors. You can actually still use the chili pods. They are broken off, and simmered in as they soften they flavor the cooking.
A cannon stands sentry on the Old Town Plaza in Albuquerue
ABQ celebrates the Centennial of our Statehood with manhole covers
Riley points the way to Isleta Pueblo while at the Pueblo Indian Cultural Center
The Yucca blooming outside the "Molly Motel"

Blooming in Momma Angels Garden
Found in Santa Fe these adorable painted kitties from Mexico kept an eye on us
while we shopped.
