Cal Rowen returns from college to his small southern hometown with one thing in mind, raise $20,000 to purchase a bar in Chicago and never return again. His distaste for the town is made clear to everyone around him, especially his overbearing father who refuses to help him on the basis that ‘you can’t truly appreciate something unless you earn it.’ Call soon seeks out his best childhood friend Andre, only to learn that Andre has become a well known drug dealer that, on the surface, seems more focused on partying than in planning a future.
However, Cal is forced into action when he finds out that Andre’s life is being threatened by his drug supplier over a sizable debt. Call reluctantly agrees to help Andre in his operation and manages to further alienate his family, his new girlfriend, his Chicago investors and even Andre. One last deal and Cal is sorely reminded why this small southern city is known as Little Chicago.
